Actor/comedian, Kwadwo Nkansah known in showbiz as Lil Win, has rendered an unqualified apology to former Chief Executive of Cocobod Dr. Stephen Kwabena Opuni.
The apology followed some scandalous statements he made against Mr. Opuni on his show dubbed ‘Don’t think far news’ on Adom TV sometime in March 2018.
According to Lil Win, all the allegations he made on the show and the photographs he showed were not true.
On 24th March 2018, the comedian carried a story on the show during which he alleged a huge amount of money had been embezzled by the former Cocobod CEO.
The production went ahead to show money in a huge box and some strewn all over the floor.
The programme also showed the burial place of Mr. Opuni’s mother and alleged some of this money was used to build a mausoleum for her.
However, in a video trending on social media, Lil Win apologized to Mr. Opuni and admitted everything he said on the show was untrue.
He said, “You will remember I hosted a programme about former CEO of Cocobod Dr. Stephen Opuni on ‘Don’t think far news’ on Adom TV on 24th March 2018.”
“I did say he had embezzled some money and went ahead to show photos of money in a huge box and a room filled with money and also showed his mother’s tomb.”
“Every pain he suffered and the difficulties he went through because of the programme, on this day I wish to admit that everything I said was not true.”
“Papa forgive me! And forgive all those involved in the broadcast of the programme. We know you are a Godly person and can forgive us. May God bless you,” he stated.
