Our ‘lying’ CID boss is being considered as IGP – Asiedu Nketia

The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia has hinted that, Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Dankwa, the Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service has being considered for the position of the Inspector-General of Police.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia revealed this when he was been interviewed on Asempa FM’s Ekosi Sen program on Thursday afternoon, hosted by Osei Bonsu (OB).

According the NDC scribe, the allegations surrounding the CID Boss and her recent gaffe on the Takoradi kidnapped girls’ case since she assume that position and execution of her job so far is nothing to write home about.

“Our lying CID boss Tiwaa is being considered for the position of IGP. It clearly shows that Ghana is losing it under the Akufo-Addo-led government,” he said.

When asked by the host how he got that information, Mr, Asiedu Nketia said, “I know the CID boss is being considered for the IGP post. Akufo-Addo is noted for promoting officials instead of sacking them and so looking at someone like Tiwaa who has so many issues surrounding her neck, she would rather be promoted to IGP position instead of showing her the exit,” he claimed.

“Per her conduct, she is only abusing State power to favour her pay master”, he added, and concluded that Ghanaians have lost confident in the CID Unit of the Ghana Police.
