Ghana Premier League Asante Kotoko are planning to pull out from the on-going Normalisation Committee Special Competition following Sunday’s violent incident in Berekum Golden City Park in their matchday 8 fixture, according to reports.
The Porcupine Warriors’ Policy Analyst Dr Yaw Amo Sarpong, who was reported to have fired gunshots at the venue, sustained serious injuries after he was beaten up by supporters of Berekum Chelsea.
Kotoko’s Operations Manager Perusha was also assaulted and he sustained wounds which required medical attention as well.
They were detained at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital where they received treatment on their various injuries
Coach Charles Kwablan Akunnor’s side was held by the Blues to a goalless draw and still remain top of Premier A table with 14 points after eight round of matches played.
